F.A.Q.
There are 100's of questions newcomers have from "Why do you have communion every week?" to "What's the deal with the pastors wearing white robes and stoles?" to "What does CHS have to offer me and my family?" Some of the questions are basic and some almost funny but none are off limits!
The best way to get your questions answered in depth is to attend the Newcomers Class which meets on Sundays from 10:00 to 10:50 am in the adult SS wing upstairs. You can also email the senior pastor, Quigg Lawrence at: QuiggL@coths.org and ask him anything that is not answered to your satisfaction. We aim to make your transition into the church family and easy one.
How can I get more information about Church of The Holy Spirit
Call us at 540-772-4915 between 8:30am and 5:00 pm and we'll be glad to give you all the information you need.
Are guests welcome at your Sunday service?
You betcha! We are not a closed club but a church family. But please do us a favor; fill out a visitor's card and let the pastors and others know you are new. We have about 25-30 newcomers a Sunday, so you may be sitting next to one!
I have no transportation. Can I get a ride to and from Church?
With enough advance notice, a member near where you live can probably help you. Call 540-772-4915 and we'll work it out.
Churches are so filled with hypocrites. Why should I bother to come to yours?
If we kick all the hypocrites out not even you or the pastor could enter the church doors. Church is a hospital for sinners not a shrine for perfect people!
Are you Catholic, Evangelical Protestant, Charismatic or what?
YES!! Actually we are Anglicans in the tradition of the Reformation who have all three streams in our DNA. Evangelical Protestant, Catholic and biblical use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. |
